Before you log in to the online application, let's review a few things:
- Make sure you apply using the correct student type. If you need a refresher, go back to become a student and review the information so you apply under the correct student type.
- If you are an international student, you will be prompted to pay the application fee. If you are going to pay by credit card, please note that we accept Discover, MasterCard, American Express and Visa. You do not have to pay by credit card and can mail in your payment by check or money order if you prefer. We do not accept cash.
- International and Canadian student applicants who apply online also must print out and submit the Statement of Financial Support and Funding Statement to complete their application package.

In compliance with the Clery Act, the University publishes its Security and Fire Safety Report annually. This document is posted on the Wayne State University Police Department website, on the Dean of Students Office website and on the Office of General Counsel website. It can be downloaded from any of these three sites. It provides an overview of Wayne State's public safety resources, policies and procedures. This report also provides information on how you can prevent crime and increase your safety and security on campus, so please take a few moments to carefully review it.
