Transfer student admission requirements
Transferring as a Canadian student from either a U.S. or Canadian school is a breeze. So, what does it take to be admitted as a transfer student?
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA 2.5
- Have at least 24 transferable credits from any colleges, community colleges or universities you have attended
You might be asking yourself, "What if I have a 2.5 percent cumulative grade-point average from college but don't have 24 transferable credits?" Well, we would review your official final high school transcript to see if you are admissible. Check out our Canadian freshman admission requirements in this case.
If you will also apply to a professional program at Wayne State (like nursing, social work or pharmacy and health sciences) you must contact these programs individually for additional admission requirements.
A couple of other helpful tips:
- All of your additional documentation must be official, attested or in its original form (including test scores)
- As an international applicant, you must meet Wayne State’s English proficiency requirements
