Concurrent Admission/High School Dual Enrollment Program

The Concurrent Admission/High School Dual Enrollment Program is an educational option for high school students with demonstrated academic ability. The program allows high school juniors and seniors to enroll in Wayne State University courses while completing high school graduation requirements. The purpose of this program is to supplement and enrich students' educational backgrounds by allowing them to pursue coursework which otherwise would not be available to them.

You are expected to complete all requirements mandated by your high school for graduation. Acceptance into the Concurrent Admission/High School Dual Enrollment Program does not guarantee admission into a degree program at the university. You must apply separately for regular admission by submitting the Undergraduate Admissions Application

Admittance to the Concurrent Admission/High School Dual Enrollment Program is a nondegree status and valid for only one semester. You must re-apply for each semester you wish to take courses in this program. You are limited to a maximum of 8 credit hours per semester.

Admission Criteria

You are eligible for this program if you . . .

• are in grade 11 or 12
• have a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade-point average
• have scored a minimum composite of 24 on the ACT or 1100 on the SAT
