Admission requirements
At Wayne State, we know that students come from different backgrounds and experiences, which are things that make our students so great! That's why we look at each individual applicant as that - an individual. An admission counselor will review your grade-point average (along with the trend in your grades), ACT or SAT score, rigor of high school curriculum and any other supporting documentation you provide us or we request from you.
Do you have a GED?
If you have a GED, you must have scored a minimum of 410 on each test with an average of 450 overall and have a minimum ACT composite of 21 or SAT total of 990.
Alternate admission programs
What happens if you don't meet our general admission requirements? We have programs in place to help prepare you for success at Wayne State.
Students with international academic credentials
Do you have academic credentials from outside of the U.S. (i.e. have you taken any classes in another country)? If you do, make sure you also review our English proficiency requirements. You'll have to meet these requirements as well as admission requirements to be a Wayne State student.
