Various locations on campus
DETROIT — Wayne State’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will host Advanced Placement (AP) Curriculum Enrichment Day on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, from 10 a.m. to noon. More than 1,500 area high school students who have been taking AP courses all year will have the opportunity to attend lectures by Wayne State professors on AP subjects, the day before the AP tests. Last year, more than 1,100 high school students attended. This event is designed to reward students who have been studying hard all year in their AP classes, giving them a glimpse into college courses with sample lectures. Attendees also are offered a tour of campus to experience life at Wayne State, including lunch on campus. Wayne State faculty members in AP subject areas volunteer their time to provide high school students with informative lectures on biology, chemistry, english literature, human geography, mathematics, physics, psychology, statistics, U.S. history and world history. Individual high school students, as well as groups are welcome to attend AP Day.  For more information contact Undergraduate Admissions at (313) 577-2100.
