Transfer credit evaluation
Our students transfer credits from other institutions often. That’s why we have a staff of folks waiting to evaluate your credits. While we will accept an unlimited number of transfer credits from four-year colleges, we will only apply a maximum of 90 semester credits toward your Wayne State degree. We also accept credits from two-year colleges and will apply up to 64 semester credits toward your Wayne State degree. Some academic programs have further restrictions so contact them individually if you have any questions.
Two to three weeks after you have been admitted, your official transfer credit evaluation will be complete. It can take more time if you have out-of-state or international transcripts. You can view your evaluation on Pipeline under the “student” tab through STARS.
We follow the transfer credit policy set forth by the Michigan Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers. Review Wayne State's general education transfer policy for community college students for more information.
Equivalency tables
We have an entire database of transferable credits at your fingertips. Take a look at the equivalency tables to unofficially determine your transferable credits.
